Informex integration
For DEKRA Automotive’s new management platform, Metanous developed the integration with the Informex platform. This integration is crucial to DEKRA’s operations.
The process: from accident to repair
When vehicle damage is reported, a streamlined process is initiated. The insurance company sends an expertise request to DEKRA (the inspection agency). An expert conducts the inspection, and their report is forwarded to the insurer for approval or further processing. If necessary, the repairer is notified of additional steps or adjustments.
Informex manages communication between all parties.
The problem: outdated technology
The challenge in this project was integrating with Informex, a text-based platform that does not align with modern web architectures. Due to its limited interface and closed design, Informex was difficult to connect to DEKRA’s new ACE application, built on a flexible, API-driven structure. Creative solutions were needed to ensure data flows smoothly and reliably between both systems.
The solution: REST API access to text-based system
To bridge the gap between these two worlds, Metanous developed a robust REST API that shields all the complexity of the Informex platform. This interface allows the ACE application to communicate with Informex in a modern, standardized way without being dependent on the underlying limitations.
