This is how Metanous developed a cloud platform for Petersime that brings everything together in one place.
About Petersime
The Belgian company Petersime is a market leader in the egg incubation industry. Petersime positions itself as the go-to solution for the maternity phase of the hatching process. From egg to chick, they ensure the ideal incubation environment every day.
They mimic nature by creating a stable climate. In the incubator, it is possible to control factors such as temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, and egg movement. Eggs need a warm, clean environment to develop into quality chicks. But how do you maintain that ideal incubation environment? And how do you avoid having to travel around the world to monitor these incubators and intervene if, for example, a belt is about to wear out?

Eagle Eye, machine monitoring
In 2010, Metanous developed the Eagle Eye app for Petersime, enabling monitoring of incubation systems. This includes factors such as ambient temperature or CO2 levels in the air. Various data streams are visualized thanks to the well-designed architecture, converging into a single platform. All this information is always accessible through a dashboard, providing a bird’s-eye view of the incubators. Users can zoom in at different levels so that all system data is visually displayed.
Eagle Trax, cloud-based platform
In 2021, Petersime began developing Eagle Trax. Eagle Trax is a cloud-based platform that fully integrates with the ERP systems of both Petersime’s customers and Petersime’s own ERP. Eagle Trax tracks all data from incubation machines and can predict machine maintenance needs. When a certain threshold is exceeded, this is immediately visible in Eagle Trax, allowing the hatchery manager to order a replacement part right away. Thanks to this forecast module, Eagle Trax prevents parts from wearing out during the machine’s running time.
